pmm is a free, evidence based online resource which allows a wide range of health professionals to learn more about paediatric musculoskeletal problems. It was set up as a collaboration between Newcastle University and Northumbria University, in association with the NHS.
vision
pmm aimed to create a resource for all clinicians/nurses working with children, to raise their awareness, knowledge and skills to facilitate early diagnosis and referral to specialist care when needed. The NHS felt an online resource was necessary to target UK and worldwide use.
impact
Following the launch of the online solution, recognition for its impact came not only from within the UK, but from clinicians and healthcare professionals worldwide. The in-depth resources and detailed information on offer, quickly established pmm as an online resource that many would turn to. pmm are looking to progress and establish further digital resources to offer their medical community.
